Building nunneries is a support to holy beings. It is a source of merit that benefits the donor in this and future lives, and helps towards the ultimate goal of Buddahood.

Pundarika Hong Kong is a registered charity, committed to supporting Rinpoche’s Tsoknyi Gechak Ling Nunnery and Tsoknyi Gechak School in Nepal.  All of the profit received from teachings and pujas in Hong Kong are used to support the nunnery and the school so that Rinpoche is able to offer education and monastic activities free of charge to the students and nuns. 

 

 

Supporting Gechak Ling Nunnery

Tsoknyi Gechak Ling opened in the spring of 2010 with about 32 nuns and is now home to well over 150 nuns. The nunnery consists of nuns residence, shedra classrooms, three-year retreat centre, international retreat centre and a large shrine hall. Supporting Tsoknyi Gechak School

It was Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s wish to offer young nuns a full modern education as well as traditional Buddhist training, since 2013 the school has been growing from strength to strength incorporating modern teaching methods while keeping Buddhist ethics at the core. The education costs of one student amount to HK$ 1200, which includes textbooks, stationery, computers, audio-visual materials, library references, field trips and teachers’ salaries.
